“Tanya has been an amazing help to me at a time when I was unhappy with myself and needed someone neutral and professional to work with me on self-improvement, in both the work and personal spheres.

While I had some ideas of what I wanted to improve on, Tanya was excellent in our first meeting at helping me identify the different areas of dissatisfaction and bringing them out into the open. She immediately put me at ease by not being over-bearing but listening to me whilst steering the conversation with targeted questions. Importantly, she stressed that she wasn’t the one to help me but that she would help me help myself.

Tanya then tested me on the Myers-Briggs personality spectrum and managed to link some of my problems to an incompatibility between my activities and my personality. It was a really good start to a series of conversations that focused on specific areas of self-improvement. During these sessions Tanya showed that she is excellent at distilling the essential points out of my verbal diarrhoea and suggesting ways for me to approach the problems constructively. Through her notes she also maintained a very good memory of all that was said and had been agreed, which I think is very professional.

She offered various techniques and tools to work with, always stressing that these only make sense if they fit well with me. She also helped me set targets for specific actions of self-improvement and checked in on me regularly to see how I got on.

In all, it has been a very positive experience for me that allowed me to verbalise, reflect on and constructively engage with my problems. Tanya proved her qualities as a good listener and as a coach and I would definitely recommend her to anyone!”
